We are looking for a new accompanist.

From the Start of 2020, we need a new accompanist. We want to find someone who will work with our professional musician team of Music Director and deputy accompanist to guide our keen bunch of choristers.

Do you have excellent piano playing skill? Have you had previous experience of accompanying a male voice choir? Are you familiar with typical TTBB music? If yes, then we might be able to provide you with a role that would enable you to use that skill and experience in a satisfying and fullfilling way.

The choir has about 60 choristers and we are non-auditioned so that the music we create comes from the heart! We rehearse on Mondays from 7-30pm until 9-30pm at Portishead police HQ with the exception of various breaks through the year. We pay our professional musicians a good rate that is reviewed each year and engage them on a self-employed basis. (The current rate will be listed on information sent to interested persons)

We sing at about 18 concerts/events each year and so we are busy! We have taken part in competitions and have travelled abroad and we have weekend breaks where we travel to sing with other choirs.

Will you be our next accompanist? If the idea has seemed good to you then why not contact us for more details or to arrange a chat?

It's easy! Send an email to honsec@policechoir.co.uk and we will get back to you very quickly.
